Born Sydney, Australia
Ella's artistic practice investigates the poetics of space and our experience of space.
Ella was commissioned by Australia Council of the Arts to photograph the Australian artists' work at the Venice Biennale in 2009. Her work has been acquired by Gold Coast City Art Gallery and exhibited in the Josephine Ulrick & Win Schubert Photography Award. She has been selected for the upcoming Redlands Westpac Art Prize 2010.
She has also exhibited at various galleries, including Horus & Deloris Contemporary Art Space, Mils Gallery, Mosman Art Gallery, Gaffa Gallery, The Factory Theatre, MAD Gallery, Gallery8, Somedays Gallery, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne and The Australian Centre for Photography, Sydney.
Ella graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction at the College of Fine Arts, University of NSW in 2007. She is currently competing Honours at Sydney College of Arts, Sydney University.
